Work day at the trail this Sunday (4/22)
Author Last Post

It is looking like the rain is going to wash us out tomorrow for this workday.  I am holding out some empty hope that we will still have an hour or two in the morning but I am doubting it.  If it is not raining heavily at 9AM I will be out there.  Otherwise we are going to need to reschedule.  I may try to get out there next week on Wednesday (4/24) morning and/or possibly the following Monday (4/30) or Tuesday (5/1).  If anyone has any free time those days, please let me know!!

Quoted TextSummer is here (newsflash!) and we need to do a little work at trail to repair the 121 Boardwalk and also take care of some trees.  These jobs are critical in getting the trail ready for our next race here on May 6th.  If you have not heard we plan on using the ENTIRE trail for this race.  It should be a fun one for all participants and will really show off the great mileage that we have here in Greenville.

We will meet at 9:00AM at the trail head this Sunday.  I will bring donuts!!  All you need to do is show up ready to work, we will have all the tools needed (but if you have a good drill, hammer, crowbar, or a chain saw, feel free to bring it).  Please reply here or directly to me to let us know you will be there.  As always, more hands makes quick work of things...

It's the blackberries that need to be kept down.

Agreed on the spraying.  I will be sure Bob brings the sprayer and the special sauce in case we have enough people to get some of this done.  Bob HAS sprayed the entrance at the corner of the parking lot/field through to the hill by Danny's, as well as the section of the Creek loop from the woods around to the tires.  I kind of like the way the BC and Outer Limits are growing in, but it is certainly possible that this is going to get quickly out of hand...

The creek loop and parts of BC loop (including the boardwalks), could definitely use a death blow.

Will be there barring any major disasters. Anything for donuts! Especially the apple-cinnamon ones...hint, hint.

I think we should spray certain areas before they get out of hand if you can get your hands on the backpack sprayer and death juice.
