We are going to need people to work the registration desk at the start of the ride. The folks can probably plan to go out and ride. We also need folks to work at test stops. As a reminder , there are three stops.... The 30 miler has a stop at about 15 miles. These folks need to be available between 9 and 11 am. There is a stop at 40 miles, which is also the 80 mile stop for people doing the century. So, these folks will need to be on site from about 10:30 to about 3:30. There is a 60 mile stop and these folks have to be there from around 11:30 to about 2:30. >> If are are able to do any of these activities please contact me ASAP (pgares@aol.com)... Paul, I will be out of town for the CCC and the week leading up to it. Let me know if there is a way I can help in the next few weeks.

Paul---
My wife has agreed to work registration, but only if she is needed. She's not done this before. Please advise if you NEED her.
Also, I will make up some cookies and brownies to bring to the event on Sunday. Hope others can see their way clear to contribute....there's plenty of premade cookie dough in the grocery stores....all you have to do is separate on cookie sheet and bake. DUH!! And you get reimbursed if you provide receipts.

Paul -- I'll help with registration on Sunday. And FYI, I did all of the road markings yesterday, except right at the school. There was a lot of traffic when I got there, and I thought you might want it marked in a certain place. I have just a little bit of the paint left which I'll bring Sunday.

Folks
Our club has 175 members which is a great thing! It would be really nice to get some to step up and help with this ride. In the past, we have benefited enormously from the ride both financially and in terms of good will with other cyclists from NC. It has also provided a lot of our members with the opportunity to participate in a local organized ride. We certainly are looking forward to seeing you at South Central High School to join the 80+ riders who have pre-registered.
We are still looking for some help Sunday. We could use people to help with registration (you could actually do this and ride); we could use 2-4 people to work at rest stops (could be morning or afternoon).
But if you can't be around on Sunday to help out, you could also support the ride by contributing some home made goodies to offer the riders. If you look at the documents link on the left side of the web site you will find recipes for Lightning Lu and Racin Ry Energy bars that require no cooking and are easy to make. But if you don't want to make those, feel free to bring cookies or any other goodies to the High School... or contact me and I can arrange to pick stuff up on Saturday.
Want to thank everyone for the support. See you all on Sunday
